Text yourself skinny!

Now this is cool! OH and FREE! The Medical University of South Carolina has created a service that provides daily tips for weight loss! It's called cell-U-lite (like your "cell' phone...get it?). Basically you go to their website and schedule a TEXT reminder when you need it the most. For example, a text in the morning that tells you to use the stairs going to your office instead of the elevator. These are super useful and you actually look forward to receiving them lol:) Oh and did I mention it's FREE! The only thing you could possibly lose out of the deal...is some weight yay! Self tip!

Visualize visualize Visualize!!! That's what it's all about baby! I get these SELF tips (via text message) that help you stay on track with diet and exercise. The tip I got over the weekend totally works too! It says while working out, visualize yourself thin (looking hot in a bikini, fitting into those old jeans , etc.) and it will give you that extra push to keep going (run for five more minutes, eat a salad instead of something fattening). It's a great mental trick! Try it out! You'll be surprised what a little positive thinking can do!

Comcast Workout!

So FINALLY I've been getting off my ass and starting to workout again! Yay! I'm easing back into it, which is why I love my Comcast On Demand Sports and Fitness section. I can workout in my PJ's if I want to. OMG I tried this new workout the other day and it kicked my butt hardcore! It's called 3 BikiniBodyToning and it's a series of lunges and other exercises that shape your legs, thighs, hips, and of course the bootie! Oh and it works lemme tell ya. Honey can heal blemishes!!!

I swear to the Lord up above this works!!! I read online that honey will get rid of blemishes blah blah...but I didn't really buy into it. Well last night I started to get a zit (ewwww...not fun) and I have crazy events this week (of course) and I HAAAD to get rid of it. Well...I grabbed some organic honey put some on top of the zit and covered it with a bandaid before I went to bed. When I woke up...THE ZIT WAS GONE!!! GONE! I was shocked! Naturally I want to share this secret with you...so enjoy! It does work!!! Yay to stopping zits dead in their tracks!

So was at Trader Joe's the other day and found Fage Greek yogurt! I used to get it all the time in Philly (of course HG introduced me to it), but totally I forgot about it when I moved here. I would use it as a mayo substitute on sandwiches and in tuna fish. So good! One container is 80 calories and FAT FREE! Click the pic for more!

Jump Jump...

So jumping rope doesn't sound like a lot of fun...trust me I know. Still tons of athletes jump rope in their training, because IT WORKS! Now I know this may not be possible to do in the comfort of your own home, so thanks to my HG email I came across this gadget. It's a Pink JumpSnap, The Ropeless Jump Rope! PLUS...it comes equipped with a calorie counter, DVD workouts, and hand weights. Yay! It's about $50.00, which sucks...but that's about the same price of some of those bogus wonder pills we buy so why not splurge on something good for you? 24 baby!


So my good friend, Juliet, swears by this. She invited me to the hip hop class at 24 Hour Fitness last week and I totally didn't go because I'm not gonna lie...I'm a white girl with no rhythm. Well she loves it and promised me you don't have to be a great dancer at all! It's just a fun way of doing intense cardio. Hey you've seen how great dancers look right? I'm totally going next time! I LOVE this stuff! It works so well and it's not sticky either!!! It's about $10-$13 depending where you go. I know J's Beauty Supply on 23rd and J in downtown carries it. Most places should, so go get some and enjoy your gorgeous hair!

Bagels for everyone!

Yum Yumaroo! These Kraft Bagel-fuls look so delicious! I can't wait to pick a box up!

eaT, eAt, EAT!!!

You know when you wait all day to eat because you know you're going out to a restaurant later??? Then you go out...stuff your face with bread, appetizers, martinis, the WORKS right? Hey...we've all been there! Still, if you're trying to drop some pounds that's not gonna fly. So here's a little trick I read about online. I've tried it out a few times and it works like a charm:) Eat something before you go out. For example, I'll eat a huge Fuji apple or a small salad with greens, balsamic vinegar and almonds. Any healthy snack that's high in fiber is a great way to go. Then when you get to the restaurant, you make better and healthier choices when ordering! Try it out, you'll be surprised:)

Peanut Butter BLISS!

So Hungry Girl mentioned these in their daily email today and I cannot wait to pick them up!
Weight Watchers Peanut Butter Bliss Mini Bars!!! Don't they sound delicious?!?! They're crispy and chewy bars with chocolate and peanut butter layers mmmmmm. Oh and since they're a WW product...1 bar is only 70 calories, 2 grams of fat, and 1 POINT! Only downside is you have to buy them at Weight Watchers meeting locations (which you can find by clicking the pic above). Enjoy!
