The Color Purple...

who would have thought there were so many purple foods out there? You may have heard of that purple diet everyone was talking about way back when...well I wouldn't limit your diet to just purple veggies but definitely incorporate them into your meals. Purple kale mixed with spinach and other greens is awesome in a salad. Purple bell peppers and eggplant are by far my favorites and did I mention delicious? There are tons of benefits to eating these purple veggies.
The phytonutrients responsible for the color can slow aging. Hello gorgeous (unwrinkled) skin!!! Urinary tract health and memory function also benefit from purple vegetables, so hit up the grocery store and pick some up! I recommend the Sac Co-Op on S St. and Alhambra in downtown.
