Also, I wanted to point out one of the products mentioned in the survival guide...Cocoa Via!!! I LOVE (and I mean loooove...) chocolate! Hence the ghetto bootie lol. Cocoa Via bars are so good and you won't feel like a diet failure after enjoying one I promise. The Cocoa Via Crispy Chocolate bar, for example, is only 90 calories and 5 grams of fat (AN ENTIRE BAR)!!! Click the pic below to check out their other products and nutritional info.

HalloLEAN!
You don't have to drive yourself crazy avoiding all the yummy sweets during Halloween, but you do have to play it smart. Another reason I love Hungry Girl so darn much. They made a little survival guide and to see it yourself click the pic below:)

I'M A SCARED MOMMY RIGHT NOW:(
My little puglet, Lulu, is getting fixed right now. I know it's a routine surgery and all that, but it's still scary (any surgery is)!!! She is my child!!! I'm mean look how cute she is! I can't wait to pick her up and baby her (she's spoiled rotten if you couldn't tell). Ok just had to vent! Thank you that is all:)
Starbucks deliciousness!
SORRY THE PIC ISN'T THAT CUTE...IT WAS ALL I COULD FIND:)
So I just tried one of their new breakfast wraps! I got the Spinach, Roasted Tomato, Feta & Egg Wrap and it was to DIE FOR!!! Super yummy:) Oh and the best part...it's not that bad as far as calories go! Here's the breakdown...240 calories, 10 grams of fat, and 7 grams of dietary fiber. That adds up to 5 POINTS for WW. So you shouldn't chow down on one of these every single day, but you can totally have one guilt-free every once and awhile. YAY! If you want to find out more about Starbucks nutritional info click the pic above and just type in your zip code.

This is so sad!
How cute is Iggy OMG!!! This is the little baby that Ellen adopted and ended up having to give to a better home (her hairstylist). The animal rescue has taken Iggy away from his new owners and now a little girl is heartbroken. Make sure you watch Ellen today on ABC at 3p.m. to hear the full story (or just the click Iggy's pic for more).

FRIZZ BE GONE!
(sorry about the crappy picture it was all I could find)

I just picked this up at J.'s Beauty in Midtown and I love it! I have crazy curly hair and this tames it pretty well. I usually don't like to use product because it'll leave my hair feeling gross and sticky...but this is smooth and really light. It's a little expensive($15.99), but worth every penny. Actually the entire Halo line is really great! Plus the shampoo and conditioner bottles are so cute. They look like the ooze from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Here check it out haha!
CHOCOLATE BLISS!
Weight Watchers Chocolate and Carrot Cakes
When I bought these, I honestly thought they would taste like chalk with some Splenda on top...BUT to my surprise they were DELICIOUS!!! Each cake is only 80 calories/3 grams of fat and only 1 POINT if you're on WW!!! They are pretty small so I suggest drinking a huge glass of water with yours...that way you fill yourself up and get your chocolate fix:) If you can...get them at Walmart or Target (it's cheaper).

the holiday's are a'coming!!!
SMASHBOX is probably my favorite line. It always looks natural and doesn't feel gross or caked on...I just love it! With that said...they are launching their new holiday line on Oct. 19th and 20th (Friday & Saturday) at Nordstrom in the Arden Fair Mall. They'll be introducing you to the new colors and will show you how to apply their products! Plus free samples, facials, etc. Here's the number to call...(916)646-2400 (ask for the Smashbox counter). You have to make an appointment though and spaces are filling up...SO CALL SOON! Ask for Allie...she's awesome!

father to daughter...daughter to father.....
Looks like rehab is actually helping Lindsay beat her addiction AND heal her relationships! It's good to see Lindsay and her dad sharing a hug. She looks healthy and happy...first time we've seen Lindsay look that way for awhile. Good for her! Maybe she's getting it together afterall. Well...let's hope so.

Make you go BUMP BUMP BUMP!
FIGHT your hunger!!!
Ok...if you don't get a lunch break and are STARVING when you get home (I want to eat 5 lean cuisines I'm so hungry after work lol), then try this. Self magazine's October issue has some great tips on fighting hunger, but if you don't feel like buying the mag....here's my CliffsNotes version:) In a nutshell, "a study in the journal Obesity Research found that people who ate an 80-calorie appetizer that included three key ingredients-a type of fat, a protein and a fiber-went on to eat 43 percent fewer calories at the next sitting." Hey sounds good right? Usually while dieting, the word "appetizer" is banned from our vocabualry haha. Now we can enjoy!!! Hooray! Self gives six great recipes too. If you want all six you'll have to shell out the $4 (it's a awesome magazine), but here's a few to try.
These are 80-calorie snacks to chow down on before meals!
Avocado, hummus, and crisps
1 Wasa Multigrain Crispbread topped with 1 tbsp avocado and 1 tbsp hummus
Baked fries with rosemary
1/3 cup 1/2 inch-thick potato slices tossed with 1 teaspoon olive oil and a pinch of finely chopped rosemary, baked at 450 degrees for 30 minutes
Mediterranean bruschetta
1/2 slice whole-wheat toast brushed with 1/2 tsp olive oil, topped with 1 tbsp Greek yogart and a mixture of 3 tbsp diced tomatoes with a pinch of chopped garlic and basil
There you go! Hope you enjoy!!!
